Information stored on your device
Your unlocked level, scores, tutorial status, and sound and haptic preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not receive this local save data as an account record. Deleting the app deletes this local progress.
Analytics and session replay
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and PostHog to understand how the game performs and which game features are used. These services may process an app or device identifier, general device and app information, approximate location derived from an IP address, gameplay events, and session timing.
PostHog session replay may capture the visible game interface, including gameplay, labels, controls, and image assets, so we can diagnose usability problems. Candle Pour has no account or free-form user input. Replays are associated with an anonymous app identifier; Candle Pour does not create PostHog person profiles.
Crash diagnostics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes. Crash reports may include installation identifiers, crash traces, app version, device model, operating-system information, and technical state at the time of a crash. We do not intentionally include your name, email address, or game text in crash reports.
Optional notifications
The game asks for notification permission when you first open it. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging creates a device registration token and processes it to deliver game updates. You can turn notifications off in the game or in your device settings. We do not use the token to create a player account.
Rewarded advertising
Candle Pour uses Google AdMob to offer optional rewarded video ads. AdMob may process IP addresses, approximate location, device or app identifiers, advertising data, ad interactions, diagnostics, and performance information to provide, measure, protect, and improve ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices.
Where required, Google’s consent form is shown before ads are requested. If Google requires a continuing privacy-options entry point, Candle Pour displays it on the home screen so you can revisit your choices.
Install attribution
On iPhone and iPad, Candle Pour uses Apple’s AdServices framework once after installation to learn whether the install came from an Apple Ads campaign. Apple returns the campaign, ad group, keyword, country, and conversion type; it does not identify you. We store these values with our anonymous analytics (Firebase and PostHog) to measure which campaigns bring players who enjoy the game. This does not use the device advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
How information is used
- Provide game functionality and rewarded ads.
- Measure gameplay, reliability, and advertising performance.
- Find crashes, abuse, and technical problems.
- Improve levels, onboarding, and the overall game experience.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information ourselves. Information described above is processed by Google and PostHog as service providers and, for advertising, by Google and its advertising partners under their own terms and your consent choices. Their practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and PostHog Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until you reset or delete the app. Third-party providers retain analytics, replay, advertising, and diagnostic data according to their own retention settings and policies. Because the app has no user account, we may need technical details from you to locate any provider data associated with your installation. You may contact us to request access, deletion, or help exercising applicable privacy rights.
Children
Candle Pour is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide names, email addresses, or other direct contact information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy protections may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
